Saudi- Honda Sate Friends clinch EPCA titles

(MENAFN- Arab News) DAMMAM: Team Honda got the better of Pak Saudi in the final to bag the MoneyGram premier division cricket title organized by the Eastern Province Cricket Association.
Sate Friends beat Bindelamah Adpco to bag the division one title.
In premier final Pak Saudi opted to bat first and were off to a horrendous start with half the team back in the pavilion with just 11 runs on the board. Shoaib (20) Ishaq (30) and Shafiq Shafi (14) were the only batsmen who put up a fight as they folded their innings for 94 runs. Kashif Riaz was the most successful bowler with 3 for 18. Khawar Abbas 2 for 9 Imran Noor 2 for 9 and Afaq ahmed 2 for 16 were the other wicket takers.
Honda in reply lost both the openers cheaply. However Choudhry Imran scored an unbeaten 54 off 33 balls and Mohsin Rajput compiled 18 to steer their team to victory with 8 overs to spare.In the first division final Bindelamah Adpco elected to bat first lost wickets in quick succession and were bowled out for 130 runs. Aqeel Azad was the highest scorer with 60 runs. Sate Friends easily chased and achieved their victory target through Murad Khan (80) Safiullah (20) and Sayed Wasay (23).
The event was witnessed by Nadeem Nadwi Rahat Choudhry (SCC) Farhath Mahmood (EPCA) Sajjad Nawab Zahid Haider Marghoob Khan Syed Iqbal Saleem Khawar Shahzad Tariq Tanveer EPCA officials and other guests.
Premier division trophies were given as follows:

Runner-up: Pak Saudi
Man-of-the-Tournament: Kashif Riaz (Honda)
Best bowler of the Tournament: Ajmal Khan (Marooj Rawan)
Batsman-of-the-Tournament: Mohsin Nawaz (Nawab Tigers)
