Qatar Petroleum International partners with Teach For All

(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  Qatar Petroleum International Ltd (QPI) has partnered with Teach For All to strengthen its global network of independent social enterprises that are addressing educational inequality worldwide in more than 30 countries.

As part of the partnership, QPI has awarded Teach For All a $500,000 grant. This support from QPI will enable Teach For All to further its mission to expand educational opportunity around the world. As well as supporting Teach For All's global work, QPI's grant will contribute to efforts of Teach For All network partners in Asia, and directly its centers in China, India, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand.

"We are pleased to be partnering with Teach For All, a reputable organisation striving for equity and excellence in global education," said QPI CEO Nasser Al Jaidah. "As part of QPI's corporate social responsibility, we are committed to improving international communities. In understanding that education is the root of economic growth and diversification, QPI is contributing both financial support and employee volunteerism to Teach for All," he said.

"We're thrilled that Qatar Petroleum International is committed to investing in expanding educational opportunity," said Wendy Kopp, CEO and Co-founder of Teach For All. "This new partnership will help us continue to build strong support and resources for our entire network, and QPI's direct support of our network partners across Asia will impact their work on a classroom level. We are especially glad to have the opportunity to engage QPI employees in this partnership."

Teach For All is a global network of organisations that recruit outstanding students and professionals from all academic back grounds to commit two years to teach in high-need schools and then become lifelong leaders to expand educational opportunity.

Through this new partnership, QPI employees will have the opportunity to engage directly with Teach For All partner organisations in China, India, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand. QPI is actively supporting Teach For All and its network partners in these countries to bring urgently needed awareness around the importance of combating education inequality.
