(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Seoul August 26 (QNA) - South Korea and the United States are considering holding in Washington in October the two-plus-two security talks bringing together the defense and foreign affairs chiefs of both countries. South Korea's President Park Geun-hye and President Barack Obama agreed during a summit in April that the two countries would hold the two-plus-two talks in the second half of the year according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) website. They would be the third such talks between the two countries after those held in 2010 and 2012. During the upcoming talks the two parties are expected to announce a delay of the transfer of wartime command of armed forces in South Korea from Washington to Seoul which was initially scheduled to occur in 2015. They are also likely to reaffirm their joint efforts to deter North Korean provocations and strengthen their defense against the North. (QNA)
