(MENAFN) South Korean automakers reported an 8 percent growth in sales in April compared to the same period 2013 on higher demand on newly released models, according to Qatar News Agency. The combined sales of five local car manufacturers were 802,657 vehicles in April compared to 743,300 units a year ago. Domestic sales boosted by 9.5 percent in April, while overseas sales increased 7.7 percent to 672,512 vehicles. Kia's domestic sales again dropped 3.8 percent to 39,005 vehicles, while overseas sales reached 11.9 percent on-year to 237,300 units.
