China, Central Asia trade hits USD40 b in 2013


(MENAFN) Trade between China and central Asian countries was estimated at USD40 billion in 2013, registering a 13 percent growth year-on-year, according to Qatar News Agency



Bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan boosted to USD28.6 billion, followed by trade between China and Uzbekistan which reached USD4 billion



China and Kazakhstan plan to hit USD40 billion worth trade by 2015, and one of USD5 billion for China and Uzbekistan by 2017



Ministry of Commerce (MOC) spokesman Yao Jian said that the ministry plans to set up cross-border economic cooperation zones in places "where conditions are ripe.
