(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) A Pakistani national was recently nabbed by the Sharjah Police allegedly for trafficking 50 heroin capsules, weighing 404g.
The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police was tipped off about the suspect, who was looking for a serious buyer.
According to a police source, as soon as the basic information was received, a police team was formed and the suspect was arrested red-handedly. "The suspect already had an agreement with a buyer, who wanted to buy some of the capsules and they decided to meet for the sale.
We found out that the suspect had 50 plastic-coated capsules, weighing 404g, and had got a buyer for some of the capsules.
The suspect was caught red-handed while selling the capsules," he said.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to smuggling the capsules to the country by swallowing them with the intention of selling them.
He is currently detained and will be referred to the public prosecution.
