(MENAFN Press) Oman's first Information Technology distributor of high-end IT products, Meta Galaxy LLC announced its participation as Strategic Sponsor of Oman's largest IT, Telecom & Technology Show “ COMEX 2012.

Organised by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions “ OITE, COMEX will be held from 30 April to 4 May 2012 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

COMEX is the biggest IT showcase in Oman and will feature a wide-range of products, services and solutions related to telecommunication, e-commerce, e-government, e-business, electronics, gadgets and more, giving both exhibitors and visitors ample business prospects and opportunities.

MG-IT's participation as the Strategic Sponsor at COMEX 2012 as well as its participation as Lead Sponsor of the event in the previous years gives a strong message in the IT world of the company's commitment, continuity, determination in enabling future success stories in the IT market.

MG-IT has taken steady steps in improving and distributing classy products such as Dell, WD, Linkys, D-Link, Microsoft, King Max, Axtrom and Virdi.

In an interview with company CEO Mr. Mohamed Yassin, he stated that the company expanded operations by opening branches in Dubai, Egypt & China.

Other companies have chosen Dubai as their Headquarter because of its strategic location and as such, we have also expanded our business here in order to develop our relations with international companies working in the field of Information Technology.

Mohamed Yassin said, "As the company started focusing on exporting to the Gulf area, the company's presence in Dubai will help in logistic issues as many freight companies are located there".

Three years ago, the company launched its branch in Egypt, which was further developed last year to facilitate the company's business and investment activities in North Africa particularly in Tunisia, Algeria & Morocco. Yassin also added that the company launched a branch in China.

It is expected that this branch will grow rapidly in the coming period. The company management believes in dealing with the international markets to enlarge its business, modernize its products & introduce latest technologies for customers in all of their branches. This is because most of the global brands are produced in China.

He also expressed his happiness over the company's currently witnessing significant progress through the regional expansion, which will open new avenues for the advancement and growth, technical developments witnessed by the Sultanate and the world day after day.

It is worth saying that the company has an agreement with Information Technology Authority regarding NPCI (National Personal Computer Initiative) which is fully supported by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

So far, the grantees of this national project are fully satisfied with the Dell brand, which have, in one way, helped to widen the technological scope in the whole of Oman.

The company believes in its social responsibility in developing the growing society. This NPCI programme is considered one of the most successful projects in the Technical field and is considered as a national project and not a commercial one.

The company's CEO added, "We are here to assist in widening the technological scope of Oman not just for Government agencies and companies but for the whole society as well". The Management stated its pleasure with such projects that help in society improvement & development.
