Amman, Jordan - Users of the latest Nokia smartphones running the Symbian OS can begin upgrading their current smartphones to Nokia Belle as of today, Tuesday 7th February 2012. This new update of the Symbian OS offers a new user interface, an enhanced experience and optimized performance, whereby you can get a new mobile experience without changing your device.

Nokia Belle will evolve your Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7 or Nokia Oro smartphones by bringing a whole range of improvements. With six easily personalizable home screens, Belle will allow you to quickly access your applications and favorite services.
Nokia Belle offers more customization options than ever. New live and larger widgets will show you what really matters from the home screen so that you do not miss any news. If you wish to move a shortcut from one screen onto another, nothing could be simpler. A long press and drag to the edge of the screen is enough to relocate a shortcut or a widget on another screen.

The new optimized Nokia Belle interface includes a host of new features ranging from imaging applications with HD video recording and a revamped browser to watching videos online as well as high-quality navigation. The menus have been simplified and a notification bar has been added for quick access of all content. In addition, Nokia Belle boosts your productivity while you are on the move through a wide variety of powerful mobile Microsoft applications such as Lync and OneNote, which can be downloaded in addition to Nokia Belle shortly after its launch.

As Nokia Belle is a major update with a completely new user experience, you just have to connect your phone to a PC to perform this update. First check that you have the latest version of Nokia Suite (3.3 or later) on your computer, and then connect your phone via a USB cable.

Nokia Suite 3.3 has been redesigned specifically to support this update and optimize subsequent updates. For instance, Nokia Suite provides enhanced download connectivity to protect your mobile and avoid the loss of Internet connection while doing the update.

The Nokia 500 will run Nokia Belle shortly after the February 7 launch. We will keep you informed. Stay tuned!

In case you need any support to upgrade your smartphone to Nokia Belle, the Nokia Care team in Jordan is at your disposal at the following locations: Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Karak, and Aqaba. http://mea.nokia.com/find-a-store-en/store-locator/application-container?storelocator_content_country=JO
