UAE- RCA assists Abu Dhabi fire victims


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  The Red Crescent Authority has come to the aid of 45 people whose accommodation suffered severe damage following the fire on Abu Dhabi's Airport Road on Tuesday. The fire lead to the death of three people, and badly damaged three floors in the block which required evacuation. Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General for Local Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Red Crescent, stated that the RCA was directed to ensure a swift response in finding housing and accommodation services for the victims, as well as provide emotional support for those who suffered injuries. Red Crescent Director Mohammed Saeed Al Rumeithi stated that the fire and its collateral damage required fast intervention and action by the Red Crescent to provide support to the families and meet their demands as soon as possible. It's also cooperating with Shabya Police in Abu Dhabi to assess the damage and the time needed to repair the building so that the inhabitants can return to their homes. The fire broke out in an apartment in a nine-storey building on Airport Road, leading to the death of three of its inhabitants.
