Namibia offers laptops, internet admission to assist college students to study amid Coronavirus

(MENAFN) On Monday June 8 Itah Kandji-Murangi Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation stated that Namibia will compress a program that will supply laptops and internet admission to 32,000 students at tertiary foundations for them to study distantly amid Coronavirus.

Itah Kandji-Murangi stated that the program will be applied with the support of internet service providers and information technology compacts.

Kandji-Murangi added that Universities in Namibia will not unlock for personal learning until Aug. 3.

Itah stated that "The challenge with most universities is that they have to accommodate more than 200 students per lecture which makes it difficult to adhere to social distancing guidelines,".
