Samsung to launch field tests for 5G in India


(MENAFN) Samsung, a Korean mobile phone giant, was announced to be carrying out field tests in India for its 5G.

The field trials were unveiled by official sources to be scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2019.

The mobile phone company is joining hands with a range of service provides for the launch of commercial 5G services in two American cities.

The firm was also confirmed to be anticipating the commencement of commercial 5G services in South Korea in 2018.

Samsung India senior vice president and head, Srinivasan Sundararajan stated: "right now we are working very closely with the Department of Telecom (in India). We expect to do India trials in the first quarter... it will be in New Delhi."
