(MENAFN) UAE's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, has made an appeal for further international support for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's).
The call has been made by ambassador Nusseibeh during an event the UAE hosted on the sidelines of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York.
The ambassador also highlighted the significance of international cooperation, underlining the work of Global Councils on the Sustainable Development Goals.
The envoy stated "the Global Councils are designed to create partnerships across sectors, develop innovative solutions, and leverage global best practices towards implementing the SDG's."
Nusseibeh added "these Councils underscore the power of partnership and the great outcome that can be achieved by working together towards common goals. Our hope is that the work of these Councils spur action to get the world on track to achieving the 2030 Agenda."
