(MENAFN) The local government declared that six people have died as 17 more were wounded after armed men attacked a funeral house in Fresnillo in the north-central Mexican state of Zacatecas.
The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. local time when many gunmen opened fire at a group of mourners holding vigil for a gunshot victim, aged 17.
Zacatecas' public safety office confirmed that five people have lost their lives shortly after the attack, as a sixth victim died in hospital.
The injured were taken to many local hospitals, while one of them remain in serious state.
