Israel reaches USD61.2bn in 2017 goods exports


(MENAFN) Israel was revealed by the Central Bureau of Statistics to have seen a 1 percent rise in its goods exports last year, reaching USD61.2 billion.

The exports of diamond alone have contributed USD12.3 billion, 20.1 percent of the total value of Israeli exports in 2017.

Exports of factory products were also said to have accounted for 93.7 percent of total export, with 2 percent attributed to products from agriculture, forestry, and fishing.

Israel's goods exports to Asian countries have recorded a 13 percent year-on-year decline, standing at USD13.6 billion, while exports to the EU posted a 16.2 percent boost, reaching USD18.3 billion.
