EU's Tusk calls on US, China, Russia to avoid trade wards

(MENAFN) The US, China and Russia have received a warning from President of the European Council Donald Tusk over implementing measures that could result in damaging the global order and cause an eruption of trade wars.

The statement has been made by the EU chief during the opening of a summit between China and the European Union Monday in Beijing, China.

Tusk stressed that the three countries were responsible for avoiding trade wars and not allowing them to erupt.

He added "it is a common duty of Europe and China, America and Russia, not to destroy this order but to improve it; not to start trade wars which turned into hot conflicts so often in our history, but to bravely and responsibly reform the rules-based international order."
