DUBAI, 15th July, 2018 (WAM) -- Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, discussed the adoption of a federal model for managing national security risks and safety, which was prepared and approved at a risk management course, during a meeting he headed in his office at the Dubai Police General Command.

The course, which was held in June, saw the participation of Lt. General Tamim and other police leaders, as well as senior officers from various sectors of the Ministry of Interior.

The federal model aims to achieve UAE Vision 2021 to create a secure community, just judiciary and a unique model for managing security risks and safety. It also calls for guaranteeing command and control through scrutinising the security of various events and assessing the associated risks, according to a unified and practical approach that is based upon scientific and practical foundations.

The model will work through two stages, the protection stage and the risk management stage.
