Oman- Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs organises development, awareness camp in Jebel Akhdar


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs held a development camp from July 7-12. It was organised by Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs's Department of Human Resources Development in cooperation with the graduates of the 'Train the Trainer' course.

The camp at Jebel Akhdar was held under the supervision of Majid bin Hamad al Khanbashi.

It aimed to promote the ministry's vision towards a clean and sustainable environment, and to build human resources capable of following up the ministry's directions and plans to provide trained manpower.

It also looked to raise the level of environmental awareness among participants and members of the local community through a series of training and awareness programmes, in addition to organising lectures and discussion sessions with the local community.

The programme aimed at transferring the skills and knowledge through field training and providing the participants with values such as teamwork, planning, effective communication skills, leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills, creative thinking and outreach programmes for the community and visitors to Jebel Akhdar.

In addition, an intensive workshop titled 'Skills of Creative Thinking' was presented by Taleb bin Ali al Abri, director of Human Resources Development Department.

It dealt with several topics including negative thinking and its effects and training courses for developing skills.
