Sharjah targets raise in amount of FBI by 15 percent in 2018

(MENAFN) Sharjah is targeting a 15 percent boost in the amount of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) within this year, as head of the emirate's FBI promotion body revealed.

Sharjah has been employing accelerating efforts for a growing number of investors as part of a broader plan across all seven of the UAE to boost and diversify sources of income.

A statement has been made by the CEO of Invest in Sharjah Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh on the sidelines of a press conference carried out to launch a report by Oxford Business Group on Sharjah's investment plans and opportunities.

Al Musharrkh said "we are looking at increasing this number (2017's FDI figure) by at least, at least 15 percent."
