Tunisia raises fuel prices by 4 percent


(MENAFN) On Friday, fuel prices in Tunisia has been raised by 4%, as the Tunisian government, led by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, will reduce the public budget deficit.

After previous increased in January and March, this is the third hike in fuel prices in 2018.

Tunisia targets meeting the requirements of international lenders, as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) urged Tunisia to raise energy prices and the retirement age to reduce the budget deficit and support economic growth, as reported by Reuters.
