His final game ended in a loss, as Brazil beat Northern Ireland 3-1.

He played in his nation's 4-1 win over Japan at the age of 43 in the 2014 Rio World Cup.

The player had begun his career in 1990.

He appeared for Colombia in 43 matches overall.
