(MENAFN) The eldest son of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has questioned when the violations against his father in prison are going to end, Anadolu reported on Friday.
In a post on Facebook, Ahmed Morsi commented on a video showing his father's suffering. "When are the flagrant violations, which are known to everyone, going to end?" he asked. "This has been going on for five years."
Mohamed Morsi was the first 'democratically-elected' President of Egypt. He was ousted after just 12 months in office by his Defence Minister, General Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in July 2013, who is now the President of the Republic. Morsi has been held in solitary confinement ever since the coup.
