(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Indian volleyball team is arriving Saturday to play exhibition matches against Qatar. The India-Qatar match series and the subsequent VoliQ Cup Volleyball Tournament are part of the tenth anniversary celebration of Volleyball Loving Indians in Qatar, an expatriates' body formed to promote volleyball. Indian ambassador P Kumaran will inaugurate the event on Sunday at Qatar Volleyball Association Hall.
The 16-member Indian squad include star players Prabagaran, Ukkara Pandian, Jerome Vinit, Vinit Choudhari, Renjit Singh, Gurinder Singh, Amit Kumar, Deepesh K Sinha, Akhin GS, Karthik, Ajit Lal, Prabhakaran. Dr Bir Singh Yadav is the chief coach of the teams while Harilal, Gurjot Singh are assistant coaches and Digwijay Singh is physio.
