Ukraine, Vietnam agree to intensify cooperation


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine and Vietnam have agreed to intensify cooperation in all areas and to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels.

The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported this following the results of the Ukrainian-Vietnamese political consultations of June 19-21 in the city of Hanoi.

"Political consultation between Ukraine and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is clear evidence of the mutual intention aimed at intensifying the interaction between Ukraine and Vietnam in all areas and deepening the mutually beneficial cooperation both at the bilateral and multilateral levels," the press service of Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya informed.

The Ukrainian side drew attention to the problems in eastern Ukraine caused by the aggression of Russian Federation and on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and called upon Vietnam to support the Ukraine's efforts in defending its right for sovereignty and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of the country.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son emphasized the desire of Vietnam to strengthen the fruitful cooperation with Ukraine in all spheres and enhance the active collaboration on international arena.

The parties also agreed that maintaining regular contacts between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries is an effective mechanism for preparing the forthcoming visits at the highest level.
