(MENAFN) The Palestinian Authority has criticized the US for leaving the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), slamming the decision as a revelation for the US bias toward Israel.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stated Wednesday "the U.S. withdrawal from the UN rights council exposes the extent to which this administration is willing to go to shield Israel from accountability."
It comes after the US declared on Tuesday its decision to leave the UN rights council, saying that the body was being hypocritical and biased against Israel.
The ministry added "this additional step of bias against Palestinian rights will further embolden Israel to pursue its human rights violations."
