(MENAFN) A witness confirmed that 13 Ethiopian citizens have been killed as another 12 were wounded in a road crash in Tsangano district in the western Mozambican province of Tete.
Lurdes Ferreira, the spokesperson for the Tete provincial police command declared that the police have received reports of 12 dead Ethiopian citizens.
The incident took place in Chiandame locality when a huge truck backed with the Ethiopians, whom suspected to be illegal immigrants, have flipped over.
The truck was heading to Tete from Angonia district, on the border with Malawi.
