Afghanistan: 30 troopers die in Taliban attack


(MENAFN) The provincial governor declared that 30 Afghan troopers have died in Taliban militants' first attack since a truce for the Eid al-Fitr holiday, as have also seized a military base in the western province of Badghis.

The Taliban ceasefire, which lasted for three days, has ended on Sunday.

Abdul Aziz Bek, director of the Badghis provincial council confirmed that one army base has been attacked in the district of Balamerghab.

He added: "Large numbers of Taliban came from several directions,".
