Buddhist monks and postal workers staged two seperate protests today hampering traffic movement in Colombo.
The postal workers protested for the eight day today over their demands, resulting in Lotus Road in Colombo being temporarily closed.
Buddhist monks later protested in Pettah resulting in a traffic congestion in the area.
The monks protested over the jail term given to the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS), the Venerable Galagoda Atte Gnanasara Thero. (Colombo Gazette)
