(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) signed a cooperation programme with Al-Buraimi Solar Energy Systems.
This programme between the College of Engineering at SQU, Al Buraimi Solar Energy Systems and associating companies Al-Wathbh Technical & Engineering Co and Sharklead Co seeks to promote cooperation in building competencies of both parties in areas of mutual interest, according to a press release.
The joint programme was signed by the H E Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, vice chancellor of the University and Mansour bin Sulaiman al Hilali, general manager of Al Buraimi Solar Energy Systems.
The cooperation programme seeks to strengthen national capacities in the fields of solar energy, production, design, development and manufacturing. It will encourage and involve students to develop solutions and techniques used to design and manufacture national product related to solar energy systems, and develop projects and provide technical consultancy to industry.
As per the cooperation programme, the two parties would contribute to the transfer of knowledge and solar energy systems technology in the sultanate, and provide innovative solutions in the field of solar energy to relevant industries. The parties would work out joint practical solutions to provide more of solar energy to SQU.
