(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 27 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society launched Sunday a blood donation campaign to boost the Kuwait Central Blood Bank's reserves of the life-saving body fluid.
Blood donation is a humanitarian action and contributing to the efforts of the Blood Bank in this regard is an integral part of the KRCS' work, KRCS chairman Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer said in a press statement on the occasion of the campaign launching.
He pointed out that the drive was organized in collaboration with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the Kuwait Central Blood Bank.
He stated that the KRCS was aiming to raise the society awareness about this noble deed and the importance of the donation for saving people's lives.
Al-Sayer hailed the positive reaction to the campaign and urged all people to contribute to the campaign. (end) zak.ibi
