Pakistan- Met Office predicts extreme weather in KP

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ISLAMABAD: The Met office has predicted extreme weather conditions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that might see record breaking heat during next couple of days.

The temperature in May and June will be more than the usual while hot and dry weather is expected during Ramazan and warned people to take precautionary measures against heat-related illnesses.

However, Met Office predicted that monsoon would commence from the last week of June bringing a relief from the drought. Besides two big dams of the country – Tarbela and Mangla – have reached dead level.

The melting of snow in April and the melting of glaciers in May will bring some water to the dams. However, this water will not be enough for the consumption needs of the country, he added.
