(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MARDAN: A local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Mardan on Thursday night.
Police said the ANP local leader Sabz Ali was coming back from his relatives' house in Sawaldher area when unidentified armed men opened fire on him, leaving him critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Police, on the complaint of village council nazim Jamshed Khan, brother of the deceased, filed a case against unknown accused and started investigation.
The relatives of the deceased said he had no enmity with anyone.
