(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee yesterday held a meeting chaired by its Rapporteur Nasser bin Rashid Seraei al-Kaabi.
During the meeting, the Committee continued its discussion on the proposal presented by HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud on the situation of retired citizens.
The meeting was attended by the President of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority Turki bin Mohamed al-Khater, who explained the Authority's point of view on the proposal and answered related questions presented by members of the Committee.
The Committee decided to continue its study of the proposal at its next meeting.
Qatar-India ties reviewed
Secretary of Economic Relations in the External Affairs Ministry of India, T S Tirumurti, yesterday met Qatar's ambassador Mohamed bin Khater al-Khater.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing them, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
Sri Lankan official meets Qatar envoy
Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Prasad Kariyawasam, yesterday met the ambassador of Qatar Rashid bin Shafie al-Marri.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and means of enhancing and developing them, in addition to issues of common concern.
