Pakistan- Fata Reforms bill to be tabled at NA today


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ISLAMABAD: The federal government parliamentary leaders of all political parties have expressed their agreement over the final draft of Fata Reforms bill.

The agreement came at a meeting here with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair where it was decided that the bill would be tabled at the National Assembly on Thursday.

Advisor to PM Barrister Zafarullah Khan presented the draft and it was approved after adding recommendation of the opposition parties. The federal government will give Rs1000 billion for 10 years for development of infrastructure and brining them at par with developed areas of the country.

Meanwhile, JUI-F continued its protest against the Fata-KP merger plan and blocked Indus Highway for traffic on second day.

JUI-F demand that referendum should be held before deciding future of the tribal areas and promised to resist the plan at all cost.
