US soldier dies in wanted suspect hunt


(MENAFN) Officials declared that a North Carolina state soldier has died while chasing after a driver, who blew by a driver's license checkpoint, while the suspect has been detained later on.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety confirmed that Dakota Kape Whitt, aged 22, of Elkin, was arrested at nearly 3:30 a.m. after an intensive search operations launched by the state and local authorities.

Whitt was transferred to the Wilkes County Detention Center in Wilkesboro.

Officials added that he was a suspect of murder felony felling to elude detain in a motorcycle and driving with an authorized license charges.
