Iceland: couple dies amid fishing trip

(MENAFN) Officials declared that a couple, from Minnesota, has died amid their trip in Iceland, after the lake water drifted a woman while her husband attempted to save her.

The U.S. Embassy in Iceland confirmed that Janet Veit, aged 48, has slipped out of the boat while fishing, as her husband, Brian Schumacher, aged 48, got into the freezing water in efforts to rescue her.

Furthermore, when their party finally grabbed them out of water, they were unresponsive following drowning in the current.
