Turkey distributes food packages for Sri Lanka in aid campaign


(MENAFN) Sri Lanka was announced to be receiving for a period of three day from the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) 5,000 food packages for Ramadan.

The first day of the support campaign has been launched with the charity body of Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs, TDV, managing organized distribution events in Kinniya, Kiran, Vellenkulam, Naduoothu, Muttur and Topur regions of Kaluppu province.

TDV has set out a target to provide assistance to 5,000 Muslims in Sri Lanka, as explained deputy secretary-general of the foundation Abdurrahman Cetin during the event in Kinniya.

The deputy secretary-general commented "we are here to say Ramadan Moubarak. We, hopefully, will distribute the gifts of our donors."
