UK court convicts fireworks factory owner of manslaughter


(MENAFN) The owner of a factory "rammed" with fireworks has been found guilty of manslaughter by great negligence after two men were burned to death.

Worker Simon Hillier and customer Stewart Staples have died in the fire that broke out at SP Fireworks factory in Baswich, Stafford.

Stafford Crown Court has convicted Richard Pearson, aged 44, of their murder through great negligence.

Judge Michael Chambers QC declared Pearson indicated "no remorse and blamed others".
