Oman- OCCI Ramadan Evening to focus on economic revitalisation


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The first Ramadan Evening of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will start on Tuesday.

The session titled, 'The Role of the Logistics Sector and Airports in the Economic Revitalization of the Sultanate', will be held at the OCCI headquarters. It will be held under the patronage of theH E Yahya bin Said bin Abdullah al Jabri, chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD).

The event will discuss the logistics strategy of the sultanate, the expected role of the private sector, the reality of the logistics sector, the aspirations of the sultanate's global ranking, the role of the new Muscat International Airport in the economic revitalisation of the sultanate, the private sector opportunities for logistics and the share of small and medium enterprises.The Ramadan Eveningwill also discuss the importance of local and international partnership in developing the logistics sector.

Abdul Adhim bin Abbas al Bahrani,CEO of OCCI, said that the Ramadan Evening is a continuation of the approach taken by OCCI to enhance partnership between the private sector, the public sector and the society to review the most important efforts exerted to promote the economic sector, in addition to presenting the challenges facing different sectors. The session will also come up with recommendations.
