Crown Prince visits Gendarmerie Forces, briefed on preparedness, plans


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Tuesday visited the General Directorate of Gendarmerie Forces, where he was welcomed by Director General Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Crown Prince, in the presence of the Commander of the Special Police, HRH Prince Rashed Bin Al Hassan, met with Hawatmeh for a briefing on security and organisational matters related to the Gendarmerie Forces.

Hawatmeh spoke about the key strategies and plans adopted by the security agency to improve their performance, enhance the capabilities of their staff and the security duties of the gendarmerie to guarantee the rule of law within a framework of transparency and respect of human rights.

During his tour in the command and control building, the Crown Prince also was assured about the level of readiness of all Gendarmerie department personnel through visual communication technology with the leaders of the gendarmerie units in the governorates.

Prince Hussein hailed the high professionalism and advanced level of the Gendarmerie Forces, expressing his confidence and pride in its personnel and appreciation for their great role in preserving the country's security and stability.
