Pakistan- Fata Reforms Bill to be tabled on May 24 in NA


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary leaders of all political parties agreed to table Fata-Reforms bill on May 24 and approve Fata-KP merger. The decision was taken at a meeting of parliamentary leaders and representatives of various political parties was held today at Prime Minister's Chamber in National Assembly with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in chair.

The meeting was attended by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ms. Sherry Rehman, Leader of Opposition in Senate, Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Syed Naveed Qamar, Ms. Shireen Mazari, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Alhaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Mir. Hasil Bizenjo, Mr. Zahid Hamid, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Lt. Gen. (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Barrister Zafarullah Khan, Mr. Mahmood Bashir Virk and Mr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, Mr. Bilal Rehman and Syed Ghazi Gulab Jamal.

Legislative matters pertaining to implementation of FATA reforms were discussed during the meeting. The bill is likely to be tabled on May 24 at National Assembly and the parties have asked their MPs to ensure their presence and vote in favour of the bill.
