Kuwait- Marhama Society launches Charity campaign in Tunisia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) By Khaled Jabar TUNIS, May 22 (KUNA) -- Marhamah Society announced on Tuesday the launching of a charity campaign in Tunisia in Ramadan, in collaboration with Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad charity.
The campaign includes the distribution of more than 5,000 food baskets to needy families in most of the Tunisian provinces, in addition to providing about 600 daily Iftar throughout the month of Ramadan in several areas of Tunisia.
In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait's Ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Dhafiri praised Kuwait's charitable and humanitarian activities throughout Tunisia during the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out that the cost of the charity campaign in Tunisia amounted to KD 50,000.
Al-Dhafiri added that Kuwait's humanitarian and charity initiatives are fundamental pillar of Kuwait's policy.
For his part, an official in Marhama society Mohsin Al-Jindobi thanked the State of Kuwait for its charitable and humanitarian work in the region, stressing that Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Charity, Zakat House and the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Tunisia contributed to the success of this campaign.(end) Khj.haq
