Malaysian tycoon Robert Kuok attends first advisory council meeting


(MENAFN) Malaysian tycoon Robert Kuok expressed his wishes for people of his country to be protected under the new government after his return on Tuesday from an advisory council meeting.

The mogul has made his first presence at a Council of Eminent Persons meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, after which he said "all of us wish our country well, and we hope the people are taken care of."

The billionaire is a member of the council, and among those appointed as advisers on Malaysia's economic and financial related-issues after Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad won an electoral election May 9.
