Afghan: car explosion leaves 3 dead, 25 wounded


(MENAFN) A local official declared that over three people have died as another 25 were injured after a car blast rattled Kandahar city, capital of Afghanistan's southern province of Kandahar.

A witness confirmed: "The huge blast occurred in Police District 14 of the city at around 12:30 p.m. local time. The whole place has now been sealed off. The blast caused a plume of gray smoke to rise above the scene,".

"The early information found that three people, including the attacker, were killed and 25 injured. Among the casualties were civilians and security forces,", according to a local official, who identity remains unknown, in Fabrika Market, near Hazrat Je Baba Square of the city.

Security forces have covered the area in order to carry out investigations.
