Oman- MoH holds workshop on medical error complaints

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Health (MoH) recently organised a workshop for the health workers on the appropriate mechanisms of providing advice in cases of medical error complaints.

According to a press release around 55 health workers from various government hospitals along with a number of directors general and hospital directors attended the workshop.

The ministry formed a specialised team in each government hospital in order to provide advice, as well as the technical and psychological support for the medical staff that may be involved in medical error complaints.

The ministry and other health institutions have systems that enable both the recipients of health services and workers to report the incidents during or after getting the health service, which may be related to medical errors that have or have not resulted in damages to the patient.
