Mexico's FDI hits new Q1 record


(MENAFN) Foreign direct investment in Mexico has been hit by 19.6 percent jump in the first quarter, to reach a record USD9.5 billion for the period.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the FDI for the first quarter of 2018 had surpassed 2017's USD7.946 billion.

The ministry wrote: "The FDI amount for the first quarter of 2018 is the highest preliminary number for an equivalent period in the history of the indicator."

During the cited period, the country saw USD11.48 billion of new investments flowing in and a drop of USD1.978 billion from current investments.
