London panel highlights Palestinian's 'right of return'

(MENAFN) A London panel has agreed that "the right of return" for Palestinians is a "core pillar in the establishment of their future independent state."

Prominent Palestinian activist, academic and writer Dr Ghada Karmi noted "without that right being guaranteed, there can be no progress in the talks of a two state solution."

The statement has been made by the leading academic during a conference of which the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) set up for "Nakba" 70th anniversary.

Analyst from Al-Shakba Tareq Baconi suggested "I think talking about the right of return has never been more timely and over the past few months the discourse surrounding the right of return has become increasingly heated and toxic."
