Two killed in car crash in North Carolina


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency ) A man and woman are dead after a car crash in Anderson County Sunday morning, 7News reported.

The collision happened just before 8 a.m. on McNeely Rd. in Powdersville near Hwy 153.

Our 7News crew at the scene reports that the car hit multiple trees on the side of the road and that Powdersville Fire Dept., EMS, and S.C. Highway Patrol responded to the crash.

The Anderson County Coroner's Office reports that Damian Austin Bailey, 21 of Greenville was driving the car. Lyndsie Terressa Wright, 28 of Greenville was a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office also reported that a deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office witnessed the driver run a stop sign at River Rd. and McNeely Rd. just moments before the crash. The deputy was attempting to locate the vehicle when they saw the car off of the roadway in the trees.
