Eurozone exports up in Q1


(MENAFN) Nineteen of the 28 EU member states have exported goods worth USD683.5 billion in the first quarter of 2018, increasing 2.5 percent over the same period from a year earlier.

According to Eurostat, imports of goods in the Eurozone, in the first quarter have increased 1.4 percent, from USD534.1 billion to USD622.75.

The international goods trade surplus of the area has reached USD60.76 billion during the January-March period.

European Union's goods exports and imports increased by 1.5 and 0.8 percent to reach USD579.8 billion and US587.2 billion, respectively, in the same period.
