UK, Germany, France agree to save Iran nuclear accord

(MENAFN) British, German and French leaders have made a resolution to preserve the Iran nuclear accord following a meeting on the sidelines of an EU summit in Bulgaria.

A meeting has been held between UK's Prime Minister Theresa May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron over the US pull out of the nuclear agreement.

A spokeswoman for the British prime minister stated on Thursday that "the leaders reiterated their firm commitment to ensuring the deal is upheld, stressing that it is important for our shared security."

The spokeswoman added "they pledged to work with the many parties to the deal to this end. The leaders stressed that Iran must continue to meet its own obligations under the deal."
