Poland: fifth missing victim of mine collapse found

(MENAFN) Officials in Poland declared that they have discovered the corpse of the last missing minor, raising the number of fatalities from an earthquake, which hit a mine in southern Poland, to five.

The Jastrzebie Coal Company confirmed that the body was discovered strained under a structure, which was destroyed by the quake, nearly 900 meters below ground at the Zofiowka mine in Jastrzebie-Zdroj.

About 2,500 rescue and support crews were called to the site in order to find the victims.

Another two miners survived with none-life threatening wounds.
